According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Department, their officers responded to the one-car, rollover accident around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday morning on Co. Rd. 10 a couple miles south of the city of Albany in Albany Township.

Driving a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix, Willemsen was headed northeast and into a curve when the car entered the right-side shoulder and ditch, according to the sheriff's report. The vehicle continued in the ditch, struck a driveway, overturned, and rolled several times.

Willemsen was pronounced dead at the scene, as was passenger Alvaro Aguilar, 31, of Richmond. Another passengar, Edwin Santana, 27, of Albany, was pinned in the car and extricated by the Albany Fire Department. He was taken to the Albany Hospital by the Melrose Ambulance Service and later airlifted to the St. Cloud Hospital by Life Link helicopter.

A third passenger, Nelson Perila-Laboy, 21, of Richmond, walked to a nearby residence and reported the accident. He was later transported to the Albany Hospital and then the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The accident is under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff's Department.
