Middle school Students of the Month announced

The Paynesville Area Middle School announced the March selection for Student of the Month honors. Representing the sixth grade are Tommy Flannigan and Laura Stoneburner; seventh grade, Naomi Bork and Adam Schaefer; eighth grade, Logan Louis and Tina Barney.

Tommy is the son of Tony and Kim Flannigan, rural Paynesville. He enjoys playing soccer, basketball, baseball and computer. Tommy is a member of the sixth grade traveling basketball team. When asked about his feelings towards being chosen Student of the Month, Tommy replied, “It makes me feel good and surprised.”

Laura is the daughter of Bob and Jane Stoneburner. She enjoys reading, playing with her dogs, swimming and doing homework. She is a member of the sixth grade choir and band.When asked about her feelings towards being chosen as Student of the Month, Laura replied, “I’m glad, I am trying to work hard.”

Naomi is the daughter of Bruce and Elaine Bork, rural Roscoe. She enjoys playing volleyball, basketball and softball. She is a member of the middle school band, choir, volleyball and basketball teams. When asked about her feelings toward being chosen Student of the Month, Naomi replied, “I’m happy to be chosen.”

Adam is the son of Tim and Cindy Schaefer, Paynesville. He enjoys listening to the radio, working on the computer and watching TV in his free time. When asked about his feelings towards being chosen as Student of the Month, Adam replied, “I like it because it makes me feel good.”

Tina is the daughter of Scott and Peggy Barney, rural Paynesville. She enjoys playing sports, and doing things with her friends. She was a member of the eighth grade volleyball team. When asked about her feelings towards education, Tina replied, “I receive a better education here than where I used to live which will be better for me in the future.”

Logan is the son of Leo and Lou Louis, rural Paynesville. He enjoys playing basketball, watching television and other stuff. He is a member of the eighth grade basketball and football teams and Paynesville Boy Scouts. When asked about his feelings towards being chosen as Student of the Month, Logan replied, “I do my best.”
