March Students of the Month honored

The Students of the Month for March at the Paynesville Area Middle School were announced recently. Representing the sixth grade are Cahlean Klenke and Tony Schlangen; seventh grade, Amber Spanier and Mike Schlick; eighth grade, Kelli Heinen and Ryan Schneider.

Cahlean Klenke’s teachers state she has a positive attitude, is a good worker and a good role model. The daughter of Jim and Denise Beckstrand, Paynesville, Cahlean lists reading books and playing with her sister as her interests. She is a member of the sixth grade choir.

Tony Schlangen’s teachers state he is a good listener in class, is prepared for the school day and really seems to enjoy school. The son of Dale and Julie Schlangen, Paynesville, Tony lists going to auctions, pouring cement, riding his bike and playing house with his sisters as his pastimes. He also enjoys baseball.

Amber Spanier’s teachers state she is polite, a good thinker and a hard worker. The daughter of Eldred and Joyce Spanier, Roscoe, Amber enjoys rollerblading, hanging out with friends and talking on the phone. She is a member of the seventh grade choir, band and science club.

Mike Schlick’s teachers state he has a great attitude, comes prepared to class and displays a good effort in class. The son of Joe and Mary Jo Schlick, St. Martin, Mike likes to watch sports and collect sports cards. He is a member of the seventh grade basketball and baseball team.

Kelli Heinen’s teachers state she is personable, friendly and helpful to others. She works hard and her assignment book is always impressively done. Kelli is a good sport and has a great sense of humor. The daughter of Don and Mary Heinen, Roscoe, Kelli enjoys sports, singing in the church choir, biking, and rollerblading. She is a member of the eighth grade volleyball and softball teams and plays in the band.

Ryan Schneider’s teachers state he is a good worker, has a positive attitude and seems to really enjoy school. The son of Mike and Vicky Schneider, Paynesville, Ryan lists sleeping, watching TV and sports as his interests. He is a member of the eighth grade football, basketball and baseball team.
