Jim Hahn, Vocational Industrial Clubs of America advisor, entered five of his Land Transportation students in the automotive technology contest. Competing from Paynesville were seniors Tom Robertson, Josh Erickson, Leon Kolb, Colby Scheierl, and Nick Buermann.
Robertson placed second in the automotive technology contest and first overall in the combined score for auto body repair and automotive technology. He also received a $300 scholarship to Ridgewater College.
