Roberg, Stoneburner receive Lions Service Award

The Paynesville Lions Club selected Stacy Roberg and Ryan Stoneburner as their February Youth Service award winners.

The purpose of the award is to honor seniors at Paynesville Area High School for their volunteer service work in the school and community.

Stacy Roberg is the daughter of Gary and Fern Roberg, rural Paynesville. She is a member of the Koronis Eager Beavers 4-H Club, community 4-H junior leader, worked on the community pride project at Van’s Beach, sandbagged last spring, helped clean road ditches, helped with a wetland project, is a Bible school helper at the Evangelical Free Church, took part in the BUMP mission trip to Minneapolis, member of the church youth group, and helped with early childhood through 4-H.

At school, Stacy is a peer tutor, member of Target Leadership, student council, volleyball team captain, high school band, letter club, DECA, and is on the honor roll.

Ryan Stoneburner is the son of Bob and Jane Stoneburner, rural Paynesville. He is active at the Grace United Methodist Church where he works in the church nursery during church services, volunteers for church fund raisers, is a member of youth fellowship and serves on the youth ministries team.

At school, Ryan is a member of Target Leadership, youth leadership conference for sportsmanship, is wrestling team captain, plays on the golf team and in the band.
