Architect named to MCA board

millerTroy W. Miller, a principal for the DLR Group, has been named to the board of directors of the Minnesota Construc-tion Association. Miller, a 1984 PHS graduate, will serve a two-year term, beginning in January 2005 and ending in December 2007.

The Minnesota Construction Assso-ciation is a non-profit organization that provides networking, business development, and education opportunities for construction managers, project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, owners, engineers, architects, attorneys, suppliers, developers, educators, and students involved in the construction industry.

Miller earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Minnesota and received his NCARB registration in 1990. Since joining DLR Group in 1992, he has focused his professional practice on the public and private K-12 educational markets.

His current clients include the Farmington School District, the Red Lake School District, East Central School District in Sandstone, and the Belle Plaine School District. Among his past clients are the Paynesville Area School District, for which he designed and supervised the auditorium and fitness center.

Miller is a member of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International and the Construc-tion Management Association of America. He serves on the Facilities Committee of the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials/Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators, as well as the Member Services Committee of the Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA).

The DLR Group is a full-service architectural and engineering firm offering planning, design, and construction services with 14 offices. Its Minnesota office is located in Minneapolis.
