A native of Paynesville, Mathison attended Alexandria Vocational Technical College for small engine repair and sales and marketing. He operated Larry's Rental for 16 years before joining Recreational Engineering of Eden Valley as a retail sales representative.
Mathison will be serving advertising customers in Cold Spring, Eden Valley, Lake Henry, Paynesville, Richmond, and St. Martin. Mathison also delivers the Press Plus to carriers.
Mathison and his wife, Jan, are members of the Koronis Hills Snowmobile Club, where he serves on the board of directors. He is a former Paynesville Lions member.
His interests include snowmobiling and working on antique cars.
