American Legion gets new cook

Paynesville native Darlene Fenske is the new cook at the Paynesville American Legion.

Fenske will be selecting and preparing the noon lunches while Barb Kotten continues as the kitchen manager and to handle the catering.

"I'm really excited to have Darlene working at the Legion," Kotten said. "She has great experience and knows her way around the kitchen."

Fenske was the kitchen manager at Denne's Dog Haus for three years.

"I'm giving her free rein during the daytime," Kotten said. Fenske will be working from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The wife of Randy Fenske, Darlene has a son, Travis, and two step-children, Brenda and Melissa. Fenske loves snowmobiling, watching car races, cooking, and working in her flower garden.
