New emergency entrance in use

Map of new entrance The emergency entrance at the Paynesville Area Hospital has moved again due to the construction project at the Paynesville Area Health Care System. While the new ER wing is still a couple weeks away from completion, the ER entrance - which needs to be used by patients after 11 p.m., by after-hour visitors, and by night-shift employees - is in the new wing, but now on the north side facing First Street.

Signs will be in place to direct traffic to the new entrance. Signs will also direct people to the nurses's station.

The existing emergency room in the hospital will still be used for two to three weeks until the new ER wing is ready for patient care, according to patient care administrator Bev Mueller.
