It is a valuable opportunity to learn about health care and its impact on central Minnesota.

As PAHCS awaits the due diligence study about a possible alignment with CentraCare, what pros and cons do you see in a merger?
Pro: Potentially increases access to resources. Con: Potentially decreases personalized service.

What pros and cons do you see in remaining an independent health care system?
Pro: May be easier to provide personalized service. Con: Likely more difficult to achieve economies of scale.

Under what scenarios would you support PAHCS using it taxing authority?
I would support using the taxing authority if the benefit of doing so exceeded the cost imposed on the taxing district.

How important is long- term care to PAHCS's mission of "Caring for Life"?
As long as the mission is ³Caring for Life,² PAHCS should seek to serve everyone in need, including people needing long-term care.
