Why are you interested in serving on the board?
I am interested in serving on the hospital board because I like to learn more about the health care system as well as become an active member of my community.

As PAHCS awaits the due diligence study about a possible alignment with CentraCare, what pros and cons do you see in a merger?
On the pro side, I could see that the number of options for patients would be greater as well as there being more technology/equipment available. On the other hand, I could see that getting too large could lose the hometown feel that an independent health care system provides.

What pros and cons do you see in remaining an independent health care system?
Remaining as an independent health care system would keep everything on smaller scale and a pro to that is it's not so intimidating for patients. A con to an independent system could be the possibility of more limited resources.

Under what scenarios would you support PAHCS using it taxing authority?
At this time, I don't feel that I'm knowledgeable enough to give any examples.

How important is long- term care to PAHCS's mission of "Caring for Life"?
I think that long-term care is very important and should be available.
