Dedication
Everyone walked over to the start of the trail at the intersection of Old Lake Road and Hwy. 55 for the dedication.
 Cutting the ribbon for the trail along Old Lake Road - Paul Osborne (one of the original trail organizers), Peter Jacobson, Jeff Bertram, Don Pietsch, Jeff Thompson, and Dwaine Lindberg (trail committee member).
This first segment of the trail was dedicated to the late Richard Mathiowetz, whose vision gave the trail a start. Unveiling the rock with the plaque is his widow, Mary Lou Mathiowetz, and Jeff Bertram
